Review: Patong Paradee Resort (Phuket, TH)

Hafiz and I were frozen with the thought of not having anywhere to crash for the next two days but thankfully, Patong Paradee Resort still had quite a number of rooms available despite it being so last minute. The location was good and the prices were dirt cheap but the reviews on Trip Advisor were extremely horrible though - but we booked a room there anyway.

Staff & Guest Service:
Check in was brief and even got served Pineapple juice while waiting for our room key. There was even a porter who offered to carry our backpacks for us. Check out was brief too, they only had to check to make sure we didn't break anything and that's about it. Reviews were mostly negative about the staff but we were treated fairly well - maybe because we didn't give them any problems.

Room & Facilities:
Our room was very minimalistic with a mountain view, just the way we liked it. It was surprisingly spacious though. Complete with a mini bar, overhead shower, super fast wifi, flat screen (not plasma) television and a tiny balcony for my smoker boyfriend. The roads infront were quite busy and noisy at night, but we slept past the noises.

Breakfast & Room Service:
We didn't get to taste any of the food prepared by the resort but they had their own restaurant upfront though - breakfast buffet was an additional 300baht per person and the food choices available for room service were priced as low as 99baht. Looks pretty promising.

Location & Amenities:
Ideal location, I must say. Patong Beach, Bangla Road & Jungceylon were only ten minutes walk away. Lots of massage parlors along the street downstairs and Malin Plaza is right across the road. V Buddy Travel beside the resort is highly recommended too - cheap travel tours with a friendly tour agent named David.

What I Liked:
The suprisingly spacious room, the amazing mountain view, the friendly stuff, the distance to all the hyped spots and the underrated Malin Plaza right across the street!

What I Didn't Like:
The super loud noises from the road / night life outside in the middle of the night.

Would I Stay Here Again?
Yes! Disagree with all the bad reviews, we really liked this resort!
