I had a really long and draggy day back at school last night after missing two weeks worth of classes since the new trimester started. I guess it was just one of those days where you question your decisions as to why you chose to continue torturing your brain cells - I'm sure every undergrad has those days. Well it was so hard for me to keep my eyes open in class and I had to remind myself why I chose to take this path so I browsed through the secret stash of visuals from my visit to Perth last year.
I don't remember doing much while I was there, except walk around to explore the area by foot and indulge in the yummy fish and chips for almost every single meal, but Fremantle (or Freo, as the locals call it) has easily became one of my favourite districts in Perth, Western Australia. Their coffee stretch (a.k.a. Cappuccino Strip) may not be as extravagant as Melbourne's but I did grab a bite at the San Churro's outlet. This area definitely has its own vintage charm. I love it here.
I vividly remember my first visit to Elizabeth's and I still have the book that I bought from their "Blind Date with a Book" section back in 2014 - still wrapped up in the brown paper packaging with the signature knotted twine and ladybug. I'm not quite sure what I'm saving it for but I will probably open it up soon.
I stayed at Shenton Park both times while I was there but I'm so glad that I took the time to travel to Freo. There is so much more to explore in this town. The next time I'm visiting Perth, I'll be sure to get an accommodation in Freo instead - and be sure to visit in Spring or Summer because my tolerance for Winter is beyond pathetic.
There is just something about Fremantle that makes you love it so much. It’s places like these that light me up and leave me feeling inspired, rejuvenated and excited to come back. I hope you enjoyed browsing through this visual vomit as much as I enjoyed sharing them with you. Safe travels, always! ♥
