Project Eiding The Feast ft. The Alternative Food Blog

Two weeks ago, I ran into a post on instagram asking for bakers to contribute for a bake sale. I had no idea what I was up against but all I knew was that I liked what their cause was - to give back to charity. Fizzy & I have always loved doing voluntary work with the less fortunate, most of which were through the outdoors back then. However, ever since we started working full time, we've been feeling really down about not being able to make a difference to the society - that is, until we found out about #eidingthefeast.

Shereen & Kit (from The Alternative Food Blog) are the two inspiring ladies who came up with this project - a charity bake sale to put some festive smiles on the faces of some very special children. Including Sprinklemess, there are gonna be thirteen bakers participating in this small but meaningful project. All proceeds from this charity bake sale will go to sponsoring 8 iftar meals for the children from Pertapis Children's Home as well as a Hari Raya lunch. Makes me smile knowing we're able to help! :)

Date: 12th July 2014
Venue: Working Title (48 Arab Street)
Time: 12 noon - 5 pm

Sucks that the both of us won't be able to make it due to work commitments though, I was only starting to get excited about the hype all the other girls were giving in whatsapp. However, you can make a difference too! Come on down to the bake sale and give us your support. It would mean the world to the organizers, bakers, and of course the orphans.  To find out more about this event, visit their Facebook event page here or simply drop an email to the organizers at, they'll be more than glad to assist you :)
