Review: Yummy Takoyaki (Singapore)

A few days ago, I have seen at least three friends posting pictures of these glorious balls covered in either cheese, nutella or the original sauce. For a moment there I thought that this was something you could buy from the Geylang bazaar. I don't know if you can find these things there but I got them from Yummy Takoyaki - which is actually a home business. After browsing through their photos, I cannot resist the temptations to try it out myself.

This is a tub filled with mixed flavours, covered in their original takoyaki sauce and toppings. There were twenty balls in there. I did not have high expectations for these because honestly, come on. How different can takoyaki taste as compared to the ones at the pasar malam, right? Wrong. These were extremely yummy, the filling was generous and so were the toppings.

The second tub was their specialty - Tako Tella - which is basically takoyaki balls filled and topped with Nutella all over. This was exceptionally sinful, I only had one ball and gave the whole tub to Fizzy to indulge, which he happily did.

Serving: They were so generous with the sauce and the serving comes in either a box of ten for the nutella/cheese ones or a box of twenty for the mixed flavours. Sharing will definitely be best.

Service: I contacted the seller through Facebook chat, where she gave me the menu and further instructions on how to order or make my payment. I opted for self collection instead of delivery (because it was around my area) and we settled with a time and date for me to drop by. Everything was really prompt and clear cut.

Price: It isn't dirt cheap but it isn't exactly pricey either. After running my home based baking business for three years, I know the amount of time and effort needed to run a home business, so it was pretty affordable and reasonably priced to me. To respect the owner, I shall not disclose the prices here.

Contact them personally if you are interested to try these out yourself :)
