Children's Grand Park Zoo - Seoul

Children's Grand Park Zoo, Seoul

After spending around an hour exploring the amusement park, I exited through the back gate to explore different parts of the Children's Grand Park. I stumbled upon the park map somewhere in the middle of a junction and realized that I only had around one and a half hours left to explore.

Address: 216, Neungdong-ro, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, Korea (Neung-dong)
How to get here: Easiest via subway. Line 7. Exit 1 of Children's Grand Park Station.

I was contemplating on whether I should spend it sight seeing or pay the zoo a visit, and obviously, I chose the latter. I have always had a special place in my heart for zoos, so there and then I knew that I need to check theirs out. I expected to have to pay a sum of money when I enter but surprisingly, it was free!

Unfortunately, I couldn't find the giraffes' enclosure although they had it on the map but that's alright because I really had fun roaming around and exploring the zoo alone. The animals there were friendlier (and definitely healthier) than the ones we have here in Singapore.

I had half an hour left before I had to get back to Little Angels Academy and fetch my students from rehearsals, so I took a stroll down the park and made my way back slowly. The whole area is huge and there were more to the park that I wish I could have explored, but did not have the time to. There is so much that you can do here (I don't even know if one day is enough) but if given a chance to return to Seoul, I would definitely reserve a day to explore this whole place again.

If you are around the area and looking for somewhere to go or something to do, this is the place. Although named Children's Grand Park, it is a place for everyone. The best part is, there isn't any entry fee into the park and neither were there any entry fees into most of the attractions.
