Review: San Churro (Perth)
Well known as a chocolateria with amazing hot chocolate and mouth watering churros, San Churro was definitely on everyone's to-eat list while in Perth- except mine. I had no idea what it was before coming here despite having so many of my friends recommend I give it a try. I was happily exploring this quaint little bookshop when one of the girls spotted this chocolateria quietly sitting on the corner of a street on Fremantle.
San Churro Chocolateria
91 Market Street, Fremantle, WA 6160
We dropped by in the evening so the place was pretty quiet and the cakes on display weren't a full circle- but our orders were served warm and the waiters were just as warm and friendly. Good enough for me :)
The four of us shared two platters of churros. The platter for two came with two sauces and six long sticks of churros, with a choice of either icing sugar or cinnamon. Obviously, we picked the latter. I got a cup of Spanish latte thinking the weather's too cold outside but regret it almost instantly because the blended drinks were extremely yummy.
I have had people tell me that their outlet at Leederville was much better as compared to the one that I went at Freo, but with all honesty, I don't see anything wrong with it. It is still a San Churro outlet after all. Just a note- do not come thinking this is a place for desert. We came after lunch and I have to admit, that's not the wisest decision to make because we were so full, I felt like we couldn't enjoy the churros as much as if we had come on a lighter stomach.
